Study

This coming year I have friends studying in: Spain, France, Belgium, Iceland, Poland, Tanzania, South Africa, China, Thailand, Australia/Hong Kong (the same person) Costa Rica, Chile, and of course all across the Northwestern states. Looking at this, North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, East Asia, South East Asia, and Australia are covered.
From my standpoint, there is one region of the world that is underrepresented. Turn on the news and it is hard to miss this region. Yet, despite the rich heritage, culture, and influence on our world, this region has received an under-representation from much of the western world.
This is where I am going. I am traveling and studying in what I consider to be one of the most fascinating places on Earth: the Middle East.
I will be in Amman, Jordan where I will be immersed into the language and culture. I hope to be challenged, enlightened and changed by this experience.
